Flexibility is probably the most important skill that is required ballet bible for this type of dance. Those that don't work on their flexibility are typically dancers that aren't successful. The more you work on your stretching the better your dancing will become. It's also important to balance out that flexibility with strength. It's not that you have to be "butch", you need that power ballet basics to come from the oddest muscles. It takes time and a lot of dedicated practice to do it, so don't neglect it.
